East Finchley N2
This was a very interesting project. The client is from a design background and had many ideas about what she wanted to incorporate into the kitchen. It’s mainly a modern handleless kitchen, but the tall units have handles which mixes it up a bit. The colour of the cabinetry is Farrow and Ball Railings which is a beautiful rich colour. The client wanted to include some solid wood elements and we sourced a 60mm thick American walnut which then served as the shelf along the main wall and the end panel on her island. Interestingly, my client wanted to have a slab of 30mm quartz sit on top of a 30mm slab of the matching walnut to make the island worktop thickness 60mm throughout and to correspond to the walnut end panel on the island. This was very unusual but makes for a very striking feature. You can just make out the look of this in the photographs. For someone who has been doing this a long time, it was fun to try something new like this and I really enjoyed the project.
